There was no toy, just a comic-strip edition of the film printed on the boxes. You had to get numerous of them to have the entire story.

Question by DanKohner: In the McDonald's Happy Meal that was launched as Star Trek The Movement Picture, what was the toy? What was the toy that came with the Joyful Meal in 1979? I believed it came with the tiny plastic wrist communicator, like the ones from the movie. That is what I keep in mind. I may be wrong, I was only three. Greatest solution:
